Which is better? Or are they the same thing? I hear the 01+ carbs don't like the 00- airbox, so I'm going to get either pods or a lunchbox. I'm also going to jet my new carbs before I bother installing them, so while I've got you reading this -

Anyone with an 01+ with a V&H and pods/lunchbox - what jetting are you using?

hmmmnz

i know i havn't got an 01 but i have pods, and the jetting was a mission, mainly because i didn't know about this site, the pods look cool, but i think the lunch box filters are better filters, in that they stop more crap getting into your carbs. good luck with the rejet :icon_mrgreen:

They flow about the same.  Just a little different look.  Both are K and N,  same filter material, they both flow way more than those little carbs will ever need.

galahs

As mentioned the more filter area (in turn means the more air holes in the media) the more it will flow.

A lunchbox filter has a large area of filter media so will flow well, and most pod filters for the GS are rather smallish.

but two large pod filters would in theory flow even better.

only if you take the time to calculate the surface area of the pods and the lunchbox and determine which is bigger....
then you can make your statement of which is better air flow

both are better than stock air box

I think I'll go with the lunchbox. Just seems simpler. As far as the fitment, I'd just read that on some other post...

average

also cheaper. When i was looking i couldnt seem to find them cheap so I opted for the lunchbox.   O0

Any idea as to jetting with Mak's Sweet highmount?

I'm planning on saving up until I can buy the highmount and then doing the Lunchbox and rejet all at once.
Rich, RIP.

Jetting is going to run the same with my high-mount as with Jardine...maybe a bit richer if you're running pods.
