Any good suggestions for capping off a fuel line?

I've decided I don't like all the plumbing on the stock GS fuel system.  I want to run the reserve line from the tank petcock to one of these:

then out to the carbs.  Anybody have a good idea for how to cap off the shorter, 'main' line on the tank?  I could just pick up a Y-connector and route both lines into the on/off switch but that's an extra step I'd like to avoid.  I was thinking of JB-welding a machine screw into the brass tube but I don't know how well that would hold up long-term.  Does gasoline cause JB-weld to soften up over time?

you could also leave a little hose on the main line and pop in a plastic bung, that way if you ever want to go back its easy :thumb:

Most of the time when I've seen fuel lines capped off, someone just puts an inch or two of fuel hose on with a TIGHT screw run into the end, brass or stainless if you've got it, hose clamp over the screw, hose clamp over the fitting. Secure, and reversible later.
