Don't hate me cause I'm a noob!

Went in today to try on some Icon leather jackets. Tried a medium and it was a bit too big, guy said try a small but they didn't have any, but he said judging by how the medium fit a small would be alright. Hopefully that's correct.

The icon field armor shorts.. newenough says a small is a waist of 30, a medium is 33. My waist size is 31.. should I go with the small?

And last question.. those icon reinforced jeans.. are the sizes roughly the same as regular jeans? I wear a 30-32 in jeans so I was thinking 30 in the icon because I like to wear normal jeans a little loose, probably don't want that in riding jeans, lest they slide around in a fall.

The small may be good if the medium is large. From what others told me and experience after buying my jacket its good to find one that is snug but doesnt ride up in the lower back when crouched over. As for the jeans you may want the 32s to give you a little room when you ride. smaller pants are more uncomfortable when sitting vs standing so I would suggest a slight bit larger instead of possibly too small to be comfortable on the bike.

Look for somewhere to try them on.

I Wear Icon gear. (No I'm not a squid! It was cheap and I am poor!) Their gear is not of the best quality, IMHO.

Really there is no way of knowing until you try them on.
Rich, RIP.

Well there's very few bike shops around here.. the one I went to today to try things on was about 30 min away.
