hello, I have a carburator question

Turning the Idle Screw out (or counter-clockwise -- looking at it from the ground, up) should eventually drop your idle speed to what Scratch recommends.

And if it doesn't, you may need to adjust your throttle cable (see this post).

thanks again everyone, I'll play with the idle screw after its warmed up. and we'll see if I have to do a throttle adjustment. that post has a great write up on it so i'll probably play around with it anyway! next up..... chain cleaning. I'm going to go do a search right now!
