Any ideas folks? They have this pair of riding overpants (crash tested by one of our members and given a thumbs up) that usually goes for 50 bucks for 19.99.

Help please, money is short and I need more gear.
Rich, RIP.

Real as far as I know.  I just received a jacket and some bar ends from there based on http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=27806.0  Stuff looks pretty legit.  Also, I think some members have been to the actual location in MA.

It's legit from what I've seen... and they just got 60 bucks from me not 2 minutes ago for one of those mesh jackets

FYI shipping on my $50 jacket was $10.50

Real, as long as you wear Small or Extra Small (those are the only sizes they list).  Apparently this is a closeout.

I ordered my Fieldsheer Titanium Air mesh pants from Brockton Cycle on closeout. It's a good thing I'm skinny, because they only had sizes 28 and 30 availible (or 32, I forget). They only have size 28 now.

Good company though with good closeout prices. They get my thumbs up  :thumb:

yes it is legit. I live about 30 minutes away....
they're just making space for the new stuff. It's suprising because most people dont realize how much of what you pay is actually profit for the store.

They are legit and the prices are right, however, I would caution you to check out the product before ordering.  I ordered the Fieldsheer Mag1 jacket and the jacket is fine except the back pad is aweful.  It is like someone took one of those swimming class kickboards and shoved it down the back of the jacket.  It doesn't bend or flex with you when you bend over for the bars so you have what looks like a smuggled 2"x4" in your back.

Also, the arm length was terribly short.  So,  I guess the lesson here is "look and try it on before you buy."  Now I have to send it back and will be out the $10.50 shipping...each way.  OUCH.  So much for a bargain.  I will say that for someone with shorter arms it is a fine jacket as long as you don't use the back pad.

I am going to have to take a trip up to Bob's Cycle Supply next week and see if I can't find something there for the summer.

When I ordered my Astropants, first I recieved hip armor in the knees and the hips, and the second time I recieved the shortleg version of the pants, they paid for most of the shipping.  Third time was the charm, but now I've moved on to leather.

That's called armor. It's much better in protecting you in a crash than the "dual density" foam stuff.

Excellent no-restocking fee return policy (30 day, I think) as well.  I ordered 2 items, and returned them both.  They refunded my credit card, and mailed the transaction receipt.

I have two Fieldsheer jackets from Brockton (Ladies Monza II and Titanium Air), ordered about a year apart, and I was extremely happy with Brockton both times.

I understand that it is "called armor" and that it is there to protect you, however, it doesn't do the job if it doesn't fit, which is my point.
Perhaps I should call out the points of my post:
1. Brockton Cycles = GREAT service and great prices.  We all agree
2. Try stuff on before you blindly order from online retailer. (My fault) Sizing charts are fine, but if you have really long arms, you are mostlikely outta luck. I had to order an Aerostich to get a jacket that fits my monkey arms.  I had a Firstgear Jacket that the arms were too short on the medium and the chest was too big on the large though the arms fit perfectly.
3. The armor back pad is toooooo long and toooooo stiff and is perfectly flat, unlike the curve in my back which means it won't protect me if I can't use it or if it doesn't fit properly.

So, I learned a lesson and hoped to share it with others.  I will mostlikely either return it to Brockton or eBay the jacket if I can't find someone to buy it for $39.99 locally.

My problem goes the other way. I'm built like your average american. So big in front and short of arms. So Im looking at the XXL to take care of the chest measurement but I'm afraid the arms will be to wildly long
