Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Sorry Nick I have no idea how a dyno jet kit works.  But I think you would need a stage 3 kit sense you are changing both your exhaust & air filter.  Take the dyno jet kit back and call www.sudco.com tell them the bike you have and what jets you need.  Look at my sig for the size's that I'm running have not had any problems and I have wileyco exhaust and luchbox filter.

Even if the voices aren't real they have some good ideas.

+1 stage 1 probably isn't going to do it for you nicky, just buy your jets from sudco, it will cost you ~30 bucks and you'll be better off, the jet sizes blue has sound like a good starting place for you, ask for 2 of each of 22.5 pilots, 65 small round mains, and 147.5 small round mains, all for the GS500.

Intended for motorcycles with a stock engine using the stock airbox, air filter and stock pipe. Stage 1 kits are fully adjustable to allow the use of a well designed aftermarket pipes and stock replacement air filters like K&N. Stage 1 kits are designed to improve throttle response and driveability and in most cases power increases of approximately 5% throughout the entire power range can be achieved.

so that means it will work?

dunno  :dunno_white: most people who get an aftermarket pipe get stage 3 or jet it themselves.  I've always been under the impression stage 1 is for stock everything.  Nick, trust us here, return that piece and buy just the jets.

90% of dealers (or at least the guy you order your parts from) don't know jack about jetting, trust me.  I really like my dealer, but the parts guy was shocked when I showed him I could order individual jets from him, and he didn't believe me when I told him my carbs have 3 jets.  It might be easier and cheaper to order the individual jets from the dealer if you want to try, but I was a little uncomfortable with their lack of knowedge on the subject so I just got them from Sudco.

Anyway, to order yourself a set, go to their website (www.sudco.com), get their phone number, and give them a call tomorrow.  Otherwise, you could go to their website(www.sudco.com), get their email address, and send them an email now.  :thumb:

check and see what their return policy is, asking never hurts.  ( ok that's not entirely true sometimes asking things can get you hurt ).  Anyway whats a gd that they worked on?

Pipe and K&N in airbox with restrictor will be OK with stage 1.
I can tell you however ... individual jets will cost you under $16-17, or buy it from me for $21 shipped ... BTW pilots aren't in a stage 1, and you'll need it, and I am not certain it will do it for a DJ kit, they got some funky needles ...
Cool.
