Hooray the dyno has just been done with the K&N filter and jardine exhaust and rejet I get 45.7 RWHP  :o thats 2.5HP more then the V&H system the mechanic was so happy he wants to take it home, now I just have to wait till tomorrow to go pick it up but im very happy also might be getting a set of GS500E clip ons off him for $120 Aust complete so not a bad price so people who have bought the jardine now know what to expect WooHoo :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :thumb:

What were your stock readings. If they were 36 or so, then that's a huge jump.

sledge

Why not take a really good dump before you get on the bike??? the weight saved might give you another 0.1 (ballpark fig) hp. :o

l3uddha

care to share your set-up?
I'm also curious what type of K&N filter you have & what you put in for jet sizes.  :thumb:

Stage one is for stock everything.

Stage two is for stock airbox, slipon exhaust.

Stage three is for K&N lunchbox/pods, free-flowing exhaust.. So I'm thinking you needed a stage three. But quite honestly, DJ kits are a ripoff anyway. Return the kit when you get it, and go to sudco.com to order your jets. Instead of $60+, you spend about $15 on jets, and you're set. Do a search here on the forum to find the right sizes, and part numbers.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

I am beyond caring about whats a rip off or whats not. I just want a stage 3 kit. They dont have them on the site. Anyone know where i can get one besides ebay?

Gisser

The Dynojet kit usually covers Stage-1 and Stage-3.  At least the kits used to come with 2 sets of mainjets--which is the basic difference between the two stages.

Of course, that's Aussie horsepower.  :icon_rolleyes:   I wonder how that compares to the DJ dynamometer?  Different dynos give different numbers.  If you didn't do a stock run for a baseline comparison, I guess we'll never know.   :dunno_white:
