I'd ride a scooter if they looked like this.
Not the brightest crayon in the box, but I can still be seen from a distance.  ;P

I see as many scooters on the road around here as I do real bikes. If I didn't use the freeways so much, I'd get a scooter, too. Freakin 90mpg, I could dig that.

Plenty of scooters that can do that now. Look at the high end Yamaha's, Honda and i think its Kawi ones. They have some pretty strong ones now

Yeh, but the power scooters dont get any better mileage than a GS. Gotta keep the engine tiny to keep the mileage high.

And there automatics. Which takes away a whole lot of the fun doesn't it. Actually isnt Honda's superscooter the Silverwing?

The silverwing is cool in the same way the goldwing is cool - they are both completely and utterly INSANE.
Everything about the goldwing is over the top for a motorcycle. It has *reverse* for gods sake. And an engine bigger then some cars.
The silverwing has a bigger motor then the GS does. Its just *way* over the top for a scooter.
http://www.motorcycledaily.com/18march02honda2002silverwing.html <- interesting review of it. I wouldnt buy one, but i wouldnt mind test riding one.

"The 4.2 gallon fuel tank will get you about 130 miles of hard riding before you need to refuel."

Those are fast, as I'm pretty sure it was one of those I saw someone hauling @$$ on in Anaheim a few weeks ago. That mileage is awful for a scooter though. Even riding hard I can do 160 miles before I'm about out. And yeah, I wouldn't care for an auto bike any more than an auto cage.

yea i agree

But i have to give credit to honda for pushing the limit and making a machine that is just rediculously over the top.
Same thing with the goldwing and the VTX1800.

Its rare that any vehicle manufacturer, not just a motorcycle manufacturer, does anything really worth noticing, and i like it.

Now if only GM would bring back the riviera.
