Brake Rotor Question

Does anyone know if EBC has a replacement rear/front rotor and pad set for the 04-06?

I'm looking for some added stopping power, because I've found myself shooting deep into corners and having a late turn in, (which I like) but feel that maybe the stock gear isn't enjoying it so much.

Yes they do, I just put them on my 06. along with the braided steel lines. Huge improvement in stopping power and feedback.
Go to www.cyclepages.com and search out the hh sintered pads and the prolite rotors. It doesn't list them for that year but they are all the same. I got the russel lines.

The rotors are just replacement stock rotors, not performance upgrades I think. I had an EBC rotor and it felt the same weight as my stock '04 one.

Pads on the other hand will change it. Get some sintered HH ones and from what I'm told you'll be shocked at the difference.

My $.02, get a steel braided brake line first.

some one's alittle moody.

and if you read my question, you'll see that I was also looking for an agreement that my modification would produce the required effect, to which alpha said that just brake pads and braided lines would do.... so.... blow me.   :flipoff:

not really
it's just that people are really....LAZY

if you are out riding the stock brakes....congradulations, you have now proven you have been riding longer than 3 months
if you replace the pads with HH
they work great....but you will replace the rotor with every other set of pads / maybe every set of pads
SS line is a definate for better feel
get a gsxr/f3-f4/kow front brake lever...it will give you adjustable reach

as soon as you upgrade the brakes.... the springs are gunna bottom out on every oh sh!t corner
so think about a set of springs....if you are going into corners that hot....get the next stiffer set than they recommend
for your weight
after that the rear is going to start hopping.....
soon you will have GSXR suspension on a turd....like me
and the RGV braced arm is sweet

dude. he's right.  you are moody.   the majority of this forum is new riders... if you are sick of reading the same newbie questions over and over thentry reading a different board

Egaeus

I think everyone should go do a search.  Search for the word "search" by user TragicImage.  Then cry for him when someone suggests the same.
Sorry, I won't answer motorcycle questions anymore.  I'm not f%$king friendly enough for this board.  Ask me at:

and if you read Alpha's reply....my bad

also what agreement...you asked if ebc made rotors and pads ....unless you want agreement that the stock stuff is crap
well, it's good stuff unless you try to hang with your buddies on gsxr's  then it show's it's shortcomings quickly

lol. I was in the middle of posting it when you edited it.

I have a question for you Ken... the right fork leg has a mount for the brake caliper. Is it possible to use a right leg on the left side in order to slap another rotor and caliper on?

you could do it
but it would look tarded
you would have the caliper in front of the leg on the left side
and behind the leg on the right
also the forks would flex even more

if you try to put the caliper behind the fork leg....the fender bracket will stick on the outside of the leg
and you would probably have to space the caliper a bit....and you would need the caliper from an EX50097-up(whenever they went to 17 inch front wheel)......
check out a left leg from an EX........might be the ticket for a swap.......
see, this is a gud thang....people conversing and thinking

get a kat f/e or GSXR
yeah they cost $ but, such is life

I won't buy f/e's any more unless it is all there....nickel and dime ya to death if you need a bunch of little parts

to me a F/E....grab the h-bars and roll it out to the truck on the tire

Eh, the EX500 has a single rotor on the right hand side.

I forgot about the fender mount though. Just didn't want to spend a lot on a full front end.
