Alpha,
the cheapest/easiest way to get 2 rotor setup....

get a set of CBR600(f-1)(HURRICANE)87-91 forks/ fender/ brakes/ m/c /axle/ wheel/ rotors
and slide them into the GS tripples
they might be an inch or so shorter but with a set of a/m springs....they work pretty gud

i did this ..... back in 95-ish?????
i bought a GS without a front end....

only downside is.....i think the rim was a 2.75 x 17....110 MAX!!!!! 120 seriously pinched

I have planned on doing a fork leg swap like you for quite some time.
The fork leg will fit. you wil need to remove the old fender mounts and add new ones. For calipers the sv650 uses the same calpiers with both left and right side they will fit perfectly. But the caliper may need to be spaced out about 1-2mm but no more. the other issuse is that the drilled holes in the rotor will face the wrong way (unless you have and ebc that you can seperate the rotor from the holder)

I will hopefully have this done befor the end of september.

Yeah, adding new ones involves welding, which I can't do right now. Also, I don't think the stock GS rotor is drilled for a certain spinning direction. I think it can fit on either side.

Yea the welding it the hardest part.
You could always get a shop to do it for you or jsut go with out a fender.
