thing under the windshield is not there.  I see them in all GS500F pics, but I bought mine used and apparently it was removed.  Since I cant stand my local dealer, can anyone point me in the right direction for the right part?

The logo IN the black spot on the windscreen is what you're talking about, right?

Maybe an after market windscree?  Post a pic of it.

Seriously though, it's probably an aftermarket windscreen, in which case you'd have to get a new one, or have a sticker made.  Either way, it wouldn't be too expensive.

Or do you mean that knob-looking thing behind the fairing?

Well, if that ain't the friggin weirdest thing... I don't have a parts fiche for the F, since I own an E (or, if you want to be technical, I own a GS500K2, no 'E')... But I'm sure someone can find the part for you.

Uhh... Dude. Whoah. I have no idea what that thing is. It looks like a piece of plastic covering the windshield.

It actually looks kinda nifty. Different, to say the least. I say leave it!

looks like previous owner painted the black to match the bike. could be simple as that. start with ebay for a replacement original equipment screen. or check ronayers.com for microfiche information. they'll have the part number for you, and the price.

It looks like your windshield doesn't have the black trim around it.   I have an 06 and the windscreen has a black strip around the edges and the suzuki logo is part of that.  Your local tint shop could probably put the black on and cut you a logo.  You could tint the whole shield to match your bike and then but the suzuki decal on.  That would be cool!

Alright, I'll check w tint shop and also a dealer in a different city.  Hopefully it wouldnt be that much to get a new replacement window.  I think I understand what you're saying, the bike normally has black under that spot on the faring?  I think you're saying the windshield has the logo, but the black is underneath it.  Ok.  Maybe if I just got a completely tinted windshield, I would have a spare.....hmmm.  Any ideas on locating a completely tinted GS500F windshield, other than a dealership?

Some members have bought after market windscreens make a post in the forsale / wanted section and see if anyone wan'ts to sell their old one.

That's exactly what I was thinking...

Looks like the screen is just clear, rather than having the added paint (or is it a sticker) on the bottom.
