I keep thinking of getting another, but would only do it if I could get something other than chain drive........

Shaftie sportbikes: BMW R1100S, K1200S
1982 Yamaha XZ550 Vision
MotoGuzzi V70 Sport (circa '77), there's some newer 'Guzzis that are full-on sportbikes, but I can't remember model name/numbers.

Kawasaki Concours...shaft.   More a tourer than a sportbike.

OK, so why are they so far behind on this, along with electronic fuel injection?  What gives?   

Paper had a write up on a new Kawasaki that has an adjustable seat, electronically adjustable windshield, is clutchless with no shifter (only buttons), 140hp, and looked kind of like a Concours.  I was impressed, although I think it was chain drive.  I just dont understand why, if a belt can and will last forever, they are not ditching the chain drive concept.

From what I have read, due to the performance of sportbikes, the belt would have to be extremely wide in order withstand the extreme forces placed on it.  This would affect the rest of the setup.  :thumb:

Easy, any sportbike can be belt driven - just hit them hard, the sting lash should get them going  :icon_twisted:
