I have gas

in my tank, and I need to drain it so I can do valves tomorrow morning. HOWEVER, there are 4 gallons in there, and I'd rather not waste them. Riding them out isn't an option. So rather than draining it and somehow getting rid of it, can I reuse it? For example...can I transfer it into my car? It seems as though it would work, but then again I am no pro when it comes to chemistry or gasoline, or anything for that matter.

Thanks,
Dave

You can just shut off the valve under the tank.  Just use a flat-head screwdriver and turn the screw horizontal to the ground.

And take the tank off with the gas still in it? If so, thank you for saving me the shitshow that was bound to happen as I tried to transfer the gas.

Yep.  If you can download Kerry's video on valve adjustment, he has a great shot of what I'm referring to.

I have the video in my hand and I'm about to watch it. But I wanted to ask first. Thanks amigo.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Golden. I've put on 140 miles or so, and it's running great. I'm gonna try to get the kit out tomorrow. Thanks again for the help!
