Thanks for the links on group riding.  I was going to start a topic in the O&E forum asking for advice on group riding.  Don't need to now, those links are great!

This will be the first time I've rode with anyone else.  I'm looking forward to it!!!

that spring run ride is krazy,side by side tearing ass down the freeway then every body trys to stop then takes off like krazy.   i think it's a date with danger,oh yea did i say it's 90% harley heads on that ride.   y'all know how that goes.    the 29th will be a great day.

Sweet, only a week left!  I'm going to scout out the section from Mason to Stockbridge and back tomorrow.  I'll hit the other parts of the route next week after work.   

Take good (mental) notes.  Write it down when you get a chance and share either here or at Meijer during the pre-ride gathering.

did i see the word mental,by the time the 29th gets here i'll be mental case.   i have cleaned my bike so much i think im starting to polish the paint off it.   wwwaaaaagooooaaaahhhh im going nuts.

i better get crakin on clwaning my bike then....its so dirty from my ride to clevland in the rain for mroe then 50% of the ride....

Hey all sorry I won't be able to make it I'm going to Pittsburgh with my fiance.  Silverback, long time no talk!  I'll be with all in spirit have a great safe ride and I'll definitely plan on the next group ride!   

   bahh pitsburg will always be there....oh well...have fun and be safe.

Okay, I've scouted all of the roads east of Stockbridge.  Everything looks pretty good.

One of the roads changes to dirt for about a mile, I've marked it in Red on the map.  It's a Detroit dirt road though, lots of oil down and really hard packed so it shouldn't be an issue.  It can be dusty though, I can scout a new path around it if we want to avoid dirt.

The only other bad spot is the road into and out of Hell.  It's pretty bumpy, but as long as we ride single file it shouldn't be an issue.

As for rest stops, do we want to stop once half way through, or two stops at the 1/3 and 2/3's point.  If one stop, then I recomend the DQ at Hamburg.  If two stops, the I recommend the DQ or Coffiee house in Dexter and either the gas station or ice cream place in Stockbridge.

Keep your fingers crossed that we'll get good weather!!!

I mighta known the road into and outa Hell would be Hell.     (Sorry, couldn't resist.)  I've been told to Go to Hell many times in my formative years, so I felt this trip might should have fulfilled that request.  I can take a few bumps if you guys can.

A mile of dirt road isn't bad, unless it's raining or just did.  Then it's best to avoid unless dry.  Why not play it by ear -- as long as you know where it's at we can use appropriate judgement.

I'm for a stop at the 1/2 or 2/3 mark.  A DQ is great, unless someone is lactose intollerant or watching their weight.  I'm shooting for getting to Meijer's early and getting a snack while waiting.  I shouldn't be in a hurry to stop, but we'll poll the group before departing.

As noted it'll be hot by mid-day so bring a couple of bottles of water just in case.  (I freeze mine the night before to maximize the refreshing effects.)

Give your bikes a good T-CLOCK's inspection the night before -- can't hurt.

Ok I have to stop at full throttle in Lansing and pick up a couple parts before I head to meijers and they don't open till 9:30 so I will try to be there as close to 10am as possible but plz don't leave without me. I'll have to do my best to not talk a lot while I'm in there. Hopefully the chance of rain stays low or just goes away totally. See ya'll saturday.

This might be my first and last group ride... trying to find a job in the cleavland area asap.  I'm going to be moving in with my gf down there.  They have some really nice roads in twinsburg where she lives.  So i'll be there rain or shine.
