What spark plugs should I get?

I know that Srinath (sp? Sorry man) said something about one brand being total crap.

I know that the fancy plugs do not improve power, but are they a good idea, or just snake oil as I suspect (I almost slapped myself for not knowing for sure.)

Oh yeah, and most importantly:

What should the Gap be?

NGK's suck. I like champions and autolites and the other thing that is rebadged autolite ... Ac delco ... but the damn black threads on them are a disaster. Champions are IMHO the beast ...
Cool.
Srinath.

Srinath...have you ever run Denso plugs?

btw...the gap is .031-.035"
Common sense in not very common.

Chris2P

You want to get NGk or Nippo denso at the recommended gap.  Everything else IS snake oil.

Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

No but I also heard - total heresay - that bosch is crap - but no idea what model of bosch and for what vehicle.
Trust me - NGK is total sheite - ask aworkmon - that bike never liked NGK's ... not before I got it, not when I had it, not when Danny (drifter8844) had it and not when aworkmon had it. These dudes all swapped in NGK's and literally had the bike go belly up in minutes.
Cool.

Sweet found the Autolite, worked like a charm for my misfiring problem.

Spark plug part numbers are:

Autolite - 4163
NGK - DPR8EA-9
Champion - RA6HC

Old ugly plugs

I could be blind, or retarded... or both... But, I just happen to have one of these "NKG"'s in question and I *THINK* this says "NGK". I could be totally wrong, but maybe a second pair of eyes can help me figure this out..
