I know several of you have expressed concern as to the absence of JohNLA. Since his convention in SD over a month ago he's trying to go cold turkey...to focus on his portfolio and try to land a good CG job, having been laid off a while back.

After he didnt show for the Ortega ride I got really concerned about his well being and called his place to make sure nothing had happened. He's fine, although hes got the shakes bad from withdrawl...but he knows he'll get sucked back in if he even ventures near here.

I hope we're not a bad influence on him.  I quick smoking a couple years ago and it was tough.  I got really irritible and it didn't occur to me that quitting was causing any of it until a couple months afterward.  I've read from the camaro board that people who've been smoking long start to really hack stuff up for a couple weeks but it goes away and you feel better.

I hope he finds a good job.  Its a hard time to be looking for one
