I know that up in Fredericksburg the cops have been using beemers for a while.  Around here in Blacksburg all i have seen are harleys.

saw that. It was for show only. It was something the got in a bust and rather than auction it off they kept it for cool PR and what not.

Nope. They actually use it to patrol. I read that they were getting Converti-Bars for it so it would be more comfortable on the long haul, but it is most definitely in service.
