those are A-star bat pants, and I added the velcro slider patch. its what I have been using most of my riding life, but now I have the 1-pc...

That's too cool!  It amazes me that a bike still has traction riding on the little edge of tire...
GS500F in BLUE because that's the COOLEST color!

You're definitely using all of the tire.

Do most of the tracks you ride out require a strap on back protector, or will they allow the foam pad in your jacket?
Also, is there any restiction re: two peice suits?  Do they require full circumfrance zippers or will partial zippers do?
Is there any track that will allow textile pants or do you have to have leather?

If you know, please answer.  If not, nice pics!

Dangit, I would have loved to have come if I would have read that earlier than now.

I didn't know they let you on the track with pants that don't have pucks. :dunno_white:

I'm going to start asking around on the other forums about where to start when looking into track days for people who have never done them (ie. me). What to expect and such. Definitely something I want to start doing soon. :thumb:

some require hard back protectors but most dont specifically require anything-CE or foam. most require zip together 2-pc suits that wrap around, not the small 8" zipper type. One or two do allow those small zippers and also textile zip together 2-pc or 1-pc suits, but rarely. most everyone has at a minimum, a full circumference  zip (thats really about 270* zipper leaving about 8" at the front) 2-pc suit.

the ride was an adventure-check the thread again. 21 riders. lost 3 when they turned off incorrectly and never backtracked. we finally got them on the phone and they decided to bail home. then we rode into the fire that closed the 5fwy! then one guy lowsided his bike off the side of the mountain 10 ft below (caught by a tree). he was completely unhurt. waited for tow truck which was stuck on the 5fwy after they closed it. Frazier Park was also out of electricity so no gas. finally got going back home the long way (cerro noreste to 166 to hwy 33 and we hauled ass the entire way... It was wicked fast. got home about 8pm, 365 miles later! oh boy.

Yes they allow pants without pucks so long as they zip together.
