Buell footpegs on a GS?

Has anyone tried putting Buell footpegs on our bikes? Looks like it could be made to fit, but I was wondering if anyone else had tried it. I guess they're cheap enough that I'll probably just order a pair myself and give it a try. I would kill for a couple more inches of leg room.

Hopefully this link will work.

id say not,
have a look how its attached,
pritty much most suzuki models will fit the gs foot pegs wit a small amount of modding, but if your determined im sure you can get those to fit as well

They should fit as I have SV pegs on my Buell. Buell pegs are very brittle though, both Buells that I have owned have had broken pegs. The pegs break where there are holes in them from the top to bottom. Oh, the Buell pegs are wider where the pin goes through to attach to footepeg bracket, may need some grinding.

I think it looks a little strange because of the drop on the pegs. If you look at one of the other sets you can see a little better that it's a pretty standard mounting. Should be able to make it fit, but I don't know how much grinding it will take.

$25.60 is for the pair, which is pretty cheap compared to oem suzuki pegs. Thanks for the warning SVJohn. It seems like replacement pegs are pretty popular for the Buells because of the flimsy stock pegs. I think I'm still going to give it a go. If I can make it work my knees would be extremely grateful.

The Antibody

I agree with the "it's possible" crowd. The mounts look very similar in angle to the GS. The buell is more cramped than the GS is. It should help though because GS stock are high on the mount. you may get more than an inch.
