Looks like he gunned it and spun the rear tire and lost traction.  Something caused the rear tire to lose traction.  Possibly diesel in the road as well.

Damn I hope he's ok.  Definatly looks like something was on the road to make his rear tire slip like that.

I felt the pain just watching that.

My thoughts on what happened:

Spun up the rear tire, causing the tail end to step out towards the right. He probably let off the gas causing it to hook up again and buck (mini highside). He paniced and put his foot down rather than holding it through and letting the bike settle itself. During his foot-downing panic he forgets to lean the bike into the turn and runs wide, right into the wall.

It looked almost as if he locked the rear brake?

Either that or he hit something slippery on the roadside.

WOW, he's damn lucky he landed on the street, and not over that wall looks like it could be a long way down.

That was... AWeSOME! I mean, that sucks. Braking/downshifting probably. They were obviously out there for the wrong reason filming the tire and stuff anyway. ride to ride, not to take video of your buddy. It looked like it was out of a movie when he went in the air.

it appears that he downshifted before the turn and then gunned it.  I am thinking that when the bike wound up and started making more power the rear spun and that is what made the rear slide.  The rest is history.
