Anybody got a chart of Gixxer shock lengths?

Does anybody know of a place where the lengths of various bike shocks are listed?
I've seen the page on Pablo's website comparing the GS & Kat shocks & I've seen several discussions about older GSXR shocks, but what I'm really wondering about is the difference in length between a GS500 & a recent model Gixxer 600 or 750.  I understand that the difference is pretty big, but I'd like to know exactly.
Anybody got a dependable source?

I got one here you can play with, wont fit my bike because the coil is too large and hits the front of the swingarm pivot. Its also a longer shock but it gets the ass way up in the air! I'll trade you for a Katana shock!

Is that the 95 and earlier or 96 and later GSXR750...If its 95- I'd like it and I'll source you a kat one...MIght as well get one for my GSXR after selling the one I had a few yrs ago...MIght as well get a whole pile of parts to trade...saves on the shipping. You are the guy I talked to about exhaust swapping as well right.
Cool.

Awright!!  Finally, a reply to my post!!  J/K   :)
Actually, I did finally figure out that the Gixxer shock is a lot longer than the GS.  The GS is 11 1/2 inches long & if I remember right the '96 & later Gixxer is about 13 or 13 1/2.  Way too long.  That extra inch & a half or two at the shock ends up raising the back of the bike something like 3 to 4 inches.  There's no question that would mess up the suspension geometry - both front & rear.
My research has yet to turn up any better bolt-on substitute than the Kat/early Gixxer/etc. that are refered to on this site & Pablo's & elsewhere.  You're gonna hafta break out the serious fab equipment to try to get anything else to fit.
Even if you can find something in the right length, you're still gonna have difficulties with the fact that the GS shock spring is a fairly small diameter & another shock that's close to the right length will likely be too big around.

if you checked out my site I hope you also saw the sv650 shock that was installed by someone. Not really a better shock, or at least not by much but it does raise the rear about 1-1.5" just like the gsxr shock and that makes for quicker steering...nice.

yellow coil also looks cool.

rf900 shock supposedly fits too...I think my site (info provided by Srinath generally) has that on there...

yep raises it way too high. I read about the dogbone thing but if your compressing the shock down already it isnt going to have much travel at all!

I was searching back about GSXR shock and saw your post Bob so I replied didnt see it was from may!

i find it quite nice when you do the forks too.  i did the forks first and it felt weird having the front end up so high.  adding the gsxr shock made it nice and level IMO.

I dont think were talking the same shock I beleive mine was from a 2000 or 2001 750. It raises the back so high that the centerstand no longer touches the ground. It is about 1/2"-1" off the ground. And dont even ask about the side stand. I have 2 2x4's under it to even get it to stay up.
