What does "popping the clutch" mean when doing a wheelie?

I've heard the term, and I've never attemped a wheelie, but I've always heard this.

Does it mean pull the clutch in and rev the RPM's real high and then release the clutch very fast?

I do it where I'm the only one who would have any issue aside from a staring problem.
