In the last two weeks I have seen alot more riders on there way to and from work here in NJ.

Anyone else notice this?

Yeah, in the last week my town has become flooded with bikes.  Then again it's a college town and everyone is coming back for school.  The cops have been pulling over bikes right and left busting the squid's.  GET EM!

The weather is getting warmer (though, it has been pretty f%$king hot for the last month or 3) and more of the "fair weather only" riders are coming out to show off their bikes.

???  Not here.  The last two months have been consistantly over 100* which is hot as hell for Kansas.  The last week and a half has been in the high 80's to low 90's, so yeah...all of the fair weather riders have come back out.  Not me man...I've been riding every day all summer in a hot as crap jacket, gloves and the old X-Lite.  There's nothing like showing up everywhere sweaty and ripe as hell.

Yes, definitely.  I live in Monroe Twp and when the weather is nice, they're all out there.

You are close by I am in East Windsor.

Do you happen to know of any local motorcycle clubs in the area?

All the ones I have seen are for Police/Fire or for Cuisers only.

I'm guessing it's the fact schools are starting up and motorcycles are a great way to get the starving college student around.

koganti - I'm not aware of any clubs around the area and yes you're right about most of them being for cruisers.  Maybe we shld take an initiative and start one!!!  My family and friends alone are 8 total.  I knows of three who are my neighbors and Wayne lives in Spotswood.

Anyone in Jersey in the Middlesex & Monmouth areas interested?[/color][/b]

Ok lets start a riding club that is open to all bikers.

See if your family/friends are interested.  I do not know anyone that rides bikes.
Next we need a group name.

When we get a name we can post it in the local shops.

I will PM you my email address.

I'm waiting to hear back from LadyJules in PA - she's coordinating another ride memorial for Rich.  If it's in PA, they'll be a NJ meet to ride out there.  If it's in NJ, we'll probably meet them on the NJT at one of the rest stops and then figure out the final destination in NJ.  This should be a HUGE turnout.

In addition, I'll get back to you abt starting the ball rolling about forming a club.
