Hi,

I heard about Wesco company who makes high performance motorcycle batteries.  I want to replace the stock battery with a free-maintenance battery, but the company told me that they don't make battery for the GS500 in specific... What a shame.

Does any one know who would make a high performance/free maintenance battery for us ?

BTW: My stock 2002 battery seems to loose its power and one time it died on while I rode the bike to work.  Could this be something else that causes this rather than the battery itself.  I have a 2002 model with a little over 4K miles.

Get a ES12BS from walmart and put it in sideways...Article on Pantablo.com...its easier than it looks

Can you be little more specific cause I check out walmart and don't see any battery specified as ES12BS.

I noticed that Walmart has up to 9V battery, could this be a problem cause we need a 12V one ?

Please help me to find this battery.

Go to a different walmart...ES12BS is what you want...or ETX12BS...or something 12BS any sealed battery with a 12 in it available in walmart. Its an Everstart make and 12BS is the model.
