I've been extremely busy lately, but I will take 1 day off this month just so we can get together :)
So any Sunday will work.
The plan is for everyone to meet at my house in Salinas (just off 101, real easy to find)
We head out to hiway 68 towards Monterey. Cross over Los Laureles grade to Carmel Valley rd.
Go out Carmel Valley Rd. to Carmel and down Hiway 1 to Big Sur for lunch.
WE have 3 choices for food. River Inn- good and reasonable, Ventana- better and more$ or Nepenthe-good and $.
This is a great ride for any level rider :thumb:

What time is the meeting at Bob's place? What time is the group riding leaving from San Jose to get to Bob's place?  ;)

Who's gonna help slowpoke pandy with her lines? :icon_lol:

ALL YOU WEENIES MISSED OUT ON A GREAT RIDE!!!  Yeah, it was fast, but that's because it was only Bob and me  :icon_razz:  :flipoff:  :icon_razz:    The weather was perfect, the roads were fast sweepers, not like the switchbacks on Hwy9 or 84, these would be easy for a newbie (just not at warp 9).  Just to let you guys know, Bob has to come a looong way to come to our rides (over 50 miles).  It was definitely worth it for me to ride the 67 miles from my home in Sunnyvale.  I couldn't keep up with Bob (no, really), on his personal test track/road, but now that I've experienced those roads (at those speeds), I think I'll be better able to keep up with him next time (kinda, still within some reason).  Edit: I only had to bury the needle to 11,5 twice.

Furthermore, the scenery was beautiful!  All along the coast on US1 are picturesque coves, a house that looks like a castle, rocks, beach, trees and the water.  I got some great ideas on where to take my wife, from Bob!

Also, thank you Bob for taking the time to make an advanced trigger while we waited for any additional Laggers;)   It definitely makes the engine rev quicker, and I was able to accelerate quicker, with more force (for passing  :thumb:  :icon_mrgreen: ).

Thanks again, Bob, for taking time out of your busy schedule, to host this!

We hope to do this next year, in June! (depending on Bob's schedule, of course)  :)

Next year, I'm taking Monday off, and we're going to stay the night before and after the ride! We're going to make a weekend getaway of it!

We even saw a blue '04 GS500F, in the parking lot where we stopped for lunch in Nepenthe.

Also, I think my fuel mileage increased, because when we filled up afterwards (after 87 miles @ an average of 75mph indicated), my tank only took 1.2 gallons; which would be 72.5mpg!  Must be the new ignition rotor.

Do I have to wear my black mesh thong?  Oh, please tell me I have to!  I've been such a bad boy.  Whip me, beat me, and tell me I'm bad!

Uhhh...why does the subject read, "Re: B.A.GS Big Sur ride"?

Since you want it so badly......no black mesh thong....and now the spanking's off, too! :P  :icon_mrgreen:

Hmm....has a meet & greet thread ever been TF'd before?  :icon_twisted:
