Had the K&N and DynoJet Stage 1 installed a few weeks ago, liked the difference, just had the 15T front sprocket installed last night, LOVE IT!!  I used the 122 mains from the jet kit for anyone who was curious.  Love the gain of speed and the smoother revving and quicker revs., last thing to do for me is pipe, if i dont sell it by next summer.

im looking at the new Daytona 675 and new Gixxer 600 or 750.  Depends on if my insurance goes down enough when oneof my tickets goes away in January.

But i love the difference in sound the lunchbox made to my stock bike.  Gave a lot more engine noise, which makes my bike sound low and a lil choppy, but not bad at all, i have actually had a lot of compliments on the sound of the twin.  From guys wo ride harleys and Japs

you went from a 130 main to a 122?

122 is a Dynojet number, it means nothing in terms of genuine Mikuni jets. I did see a conversion chart somewhere though...

But yeah, lunchbox/rejet and the 15t are probably two of the best mods you can do for the buck IMO.

Do you need a 15T with a shoulder?  I got one form a dealer and it had no shoulder to it.

Yes you do, but are you sure your's doesn't have a shoulder?  Did you take off the stocker and compare or try to fit the 15T?

When I got my 15T I thought there wasn't a shoulder on it either, but it turned out it was fine.  Worse case, you don't have a shoulder, just use a washer as a spacer to step the sprocket away from the engine so the circlip is against the sprocket and the sprocket doesn't move on the drive shaft.

Here was his answer...

"put the kit in, exactly how the directions said, used the jets they recommended, and drilled everything they recommended...."

I forgot that some of the jet "kits" have you drill the slides. I always figured it was a waste of money, but I forgot about that part. I wonder if someone knows where to drill and what size bit to use? It sounds like your mechanic did the work for you but if you still have the instructions it'd be cool if you could post them for us, so all us broke guys could hop up our bikes a little more. I think I'll start a new thread asking this too.
Thanks

I was hoping to not order the jet kit. I already have the jets, I thought the jet kit just had some jets, needle shims, and directions on how to drill the slides. I was hoping to just drill the slides without the kit.

The Buddha

122 DJ is actually 122 mikuni. Yea ... they are same ID.
The reason he went down is the fact that the DJ needle is super super thin. neelde drops into the emulsion tube from the top, the main jets goes in the bottom of the emulsion tube. Your needle getting thinner = main jet getting bigger ID.
BTW self made or DIY jetting is a lot better and easier to tune than DJ and you dont have to buy funky ass crap from DJ only to alter it in future.
BTW The srinath can send you jets for $20 and it has pilots, eashers, mains and bolts for your float bowls. AKA ... the complete jet kit. for GS from 89-00 is $20 shipped.
Cool.
Srinath.
