Him too, I guess.

Pantablo-remember the two tall goofy guys in a silver Miata blasting the crappy 80s pop music on the 405 around Mulholland?

Your tires looked quite spent on the edges, congrats!

Eh, I figured it was kinda sketchy and random shouting at you, didn't know if you'd recognize me from that ACH ride over a year ago.

I couldn't really come up with anything witty enough that'd identify me, or at least the comments about super faded SP1s didn't pass the little brother in the passenger seat test.

Next time I'll say something.

Glad you had a good and safe day.

I understand the tiredness, said lil bro and I drove up to Visalia (hour north of Bakersfield on the 99) and back, and I now have my dad's Ducati ST2 for a week or two to put some miles on that and get a new chain/sprocket set installed by the Duc tech down here in SD.  Finally sold my truck though, so that's a relief.

a simple pantablo! I'm MK1incali from the gs board" would have sufficed...I was more tired than I thought was appropriate for the circumstances. It tuned out I was coming down with something. I had a fever last night and still feel a bit of a sore throat today...gonna take it easy.

Thats a long drive! how'd you get online before I did if you went to SD?

And more importantly, how'd you get a ducati st2 in the back of a miata?!LOL...that bike should be fun.

I guess I forget that I've been on this board for quite some time now and most would know my handle.

I posted from my parent's (relatively) new digs in Beverly Hills near the BMW dealer on Wilshire.  Dropped the little bro and Miata off there, then headed south on the ST2.

It's fun, and it made me decide to get a Monster, but it's too much of a tourer for me to want to keep it.  Love the 944cc worth of torque though...Like riding a YZ426F after screaming a 125cc two-stroke dirtbike around for years.  I'm ready to move up, and it'll be a good time to swap bikes as the wussy hipster Ducati owners don't want their bike to get wet in the SoCal winter.

Hope you feel better, you ever go on a Critical Mass or Midnight Ridaz with that fixed gear Bianchi you posted a while back?  I converted a Centurion Ironman a while back and got some new wheels (Dura-ace 7600 large flange hubs to Mavic Open Pros) and have been commuting with that.  Little bro has my old wheelset (IRO machine built) and is always on his bike, now works at Bev Hills Bike Shop on Robertson.

haha, moster posers....fo' sho'.

never did the critical mass or other stuff like that. I was never into the bike thing as a political tool, just a racing tool. The fixed gear is still my favorite ride. Although I'm now too out of shape to really enjoy it, even geared way down as it is (68 gear inch).

let me know when you're on your new bike!

68 inches is geared down?  Fawwwk man, I was running 75" on my old wheels, went tooth up on cog to get ~70 inches.  I don't get into the political "I hate all cars/things that aren't bicycles" ranting either, but it's fun seeing all the goofy-ass setups they bring out for those rides.

I came up to do a Midnight Ridaz that went from Century City mall to the SM Pier and back.  'Bout 250-300 riders show up at midnight and the cops flipped out, quite funny to see both their reactions and the bicyclists' provocations.

I run 42f/16r cogs for about 68 gear inch. with 165mm cranks Ive seen about 160rpm at my legs going 37mph down sepulveda pass....they used to call me a sewing maching because my legs were moving so fast....now THATS training...

I always loved the computers with cadence.

My PERSONAL favorite was the Specialized's P-Brain that did the heart rate, and all the good stuff.
