I finally finished my bike upgrades. The new tank is on with no leaks, new front and rear brakes, K&N filter and last but not least a carb rebuild/rejet. The carb rejet made a huge difference! No hesitation or dead spots. It just keeps on pulling. I want to thank everyone who provided info and advice. The FAQ's and responses made all the difference. It is much appreciated.
