Just want to vent a bit, as right now, I a bit frustrated.

I spend the afternoon trying to put on the center stand on the bike.  I installed the center stand in the bike, but just cannot stretch the spring enough to have it hook up to bike and the stand. I think I will have to bring the bike to the shop to have them install it.  I guess I am going to take the stand off the bike now.

have someone help hold the bike. put the rear tire on a block so the centerstand doesnt touch ground. make sure bike is in gear. hook spring up to stand, then wiggle it into place to put the bolts though. this worked well for me. had to do the same for kickstand.
Accelerate like your being chased, Corner like you mean it, Brake as if you life depends on it.
Ride Hard...or go home.

I forces the spring on with a pair of pliars and a lot of pulling and swearing. It was a major PITA. The above recommendation would probably be less frustrating. Unless you can find someone with bulging muscles to do it for you.
Laws don't stop criminals. People do.

it's good to know that I am not the only one had the problem with the spring.  I will give it another try today.  Thanks for the feedback.

I used a screwdriver to lever the hook of the spring over the post  and then just slid the screwdriver out.
The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?
