Bar ends

No, not where the stools stop and the waitresses pick up drink orders...the bar-ends on the handlebars....why are they so heavy?  Does this have something to do with damping vibration?

yea they are supposed to knock off a little vibration from what i hear. i also heard that they can keep the handgrips on if they are kinda loose

i see the necessity for these things.  i went for a ride yesterday with my dad on his motorcycle and i cant see him in my stock mirrors cause my shoulders get in the way, i tried adjusting multiple times and i guess i am just too buff for it. (6 ft 160 lbs, not so buff)  where can i get these things?

they came in handy for me last week when i dropped my bike,,,the bar end got a little scatched up and nothing else...

Lex, if you can't see over you shoulders I think you're looking for bar-end mirrors. In the wanted/for-sale board there are several links on good places to get the various kinds.
