My GS500 is crossing over 15K and was the victim of a recent drop.   I need to replace the right footpeg, clutch lever, and left bar weight.  I also need to change the oil and I should probably change the brake fluid.  I've also occasionally noticed a little fork oil leaking (new fork seals) and would like to put in stiffer springs.  The problem is, I have no tools to work on the bike and neither does the family I'm staying with.  I'd be really appreciative if someone within a tank of gas of Seattle would let me work on my bike in their work space (atleast a place to change the oil).  If you have experience doing all the operations I listed that would of course be even better since I'll be working mostly out of the Clymer manual.

you can do all those jobs with minimal tools. a set of spanners, a set of allen keys,a phillips & flat head screwdrivers, and mabee long nose pliers (if you do the seals the easy way) i think you can get all of that for under $20 and i think every one should atleast have the basics.

Where in Seattle are you? I'm on Bainbridge. I can't offer you a place to work on your bike unfortunatly, as I get enough shaZam! about working on my own. But I could help you out and loan you some tools.

hmmmmnz is right though, It really dosen't take that much to work on the bike. Wall Mart has some chap tools that would work well enough.

I don't have all the tools in the world...  But, I have a few.

I don't have a good place to work on it either...  I wait until after midnight and work on mine in the middle of my parking garage.     Even so, I don't do much.  I leave the "real" work up to the shop.
