Most everything on Raptors and Rockets is a crappy photo chop until the companies release any information.

Here's the R&R version of the new GSX-R 1000:

...too bad it most likely won't have it.  Just like Alpha said, most of the crap on R&R is utter nonsense.  It's like there's a group a people that's specifically sit around making up wierd crap to post up.  The GSXR is a great example.  I mean really...how many mufflers does it need to have?

Mak, that brings up a good point: why do some bikes have that? I've seen some (Duc's, for example) that have an undertail muffler, as well as another one closer to the engine. Anyone know why they do this?

From Suzuki website:

"New engine management system is four time more powerful than the previous system and allows the rider to choose from three engine settings to match riding conditions with a handlebar mounted switch"

The onyl bikes you'll really see that on are smokers and highly modified 4-strokes...like very highly modified.  A lot of GP bikes have that because they run v-varient engines...like the GSV-R, for example.  It's got an independant exhaust for every cylinder and the cones are mounted at the closest place resembling an exit.  Same with the RC211V and so on.  Streetbikes have it for ricer-purpose...like when I had my rear cylinder firing under the tail and my front one dumped under the bike.  I did it because it was loud and sexy...no real gains.
