When I was riding the GS to the dealer to get some parts quotes for repairs from the hit & run, this lady in a silver VW jetta almost hits me.  I was at a red light.  There are three lanes.  The right-most lane is for going straight.  The middle and left lanes are for turning LEFT only.  I was in the middle lane.  She was in the left lane.  As I was turning, I noticed that she wasn't.  WHAT THE F*CK, YOU B*TCH!!!  I really felt like taking a swing at her passenger side mirror.

After I take that turn, about two lights after that, this @$$hole in a white sedan begins to tailgate me.  So I slow down to piss him off, and everytime he switches lanes to pass me, I roll on the throttle.  What a f*cking douchebag.  And HE gives me the finger?!?!?!

Then in the evening, I was heading to my night class.  I jump on the turnpike.  From the moment I was on the turnpike, this @$$hole in a burgundy PT Cruiser is following me REAL close.  I'm talking like ONE BIKE LENGTH!!!  I kept looking backwards at the fat @$$hole, but blubberboy didn't even backoff.  So I took my gum out of my mouth and tossed it over my shoulder.

I'm sure this is a joke because in the real world he would have run your ass over.  You're on a bike, he's in a car...someone tailgates you, get out the f%$king way.

Nope.  I looked back at him and he flips me off.  Then I start slowing down and such.

I prefer the "swallow a frisbee" method...if you could do THAT while riding a GS, in full gear, I'd worship you.

So you proceed to, basically, ask him to run you over?

FearedGS500

hehe be ready for it .. you got hit and now your looking at getting alot of other ppls attion .. you done pretty much what i do ..but i'm a little more drastic ... as for the lady in the car .. i'm not sure what i would have done . maybe kicked the door .. sounds fun ... now that guy ... yea i would kind of done the same thing but i normaly dont slow down ... know when he flicks you off you just give him the big :thumb: and just be like really nice .. i do tend to get even .. keep them from moving over .. (staying out of the blind spot) as for the fat guy ... i like to turn aound and give him this  :flipoff: :flipoff: then speed up and get out of his way .

I try not to cause permenent damage when I can't prove someone's made the same mistake more than once.  If they've done it, and I've whitnessed it, more than one time, I break stuff.

I remove mirrors.

I've only removed one and it was a lady that merge onto me as i was passing her, took it off with my knee and it stung a little.  She and I actually stoped and she was really sorry and glad i didn't get hurt.  I unpluged the wires the mirror was dangling from and put the unit in her car and said there was no need for insurance because i wasn't damaged perminantly

The thought's crossed my mind that An may be in a difficult frame of mind due to his recent problems, so his karma may be attracting trouble....but I think I'll wait 'til he's doin' better before I bring it up....  :icon_mrgreen:

Sorry but when it comes to road rage, bikes lose.  I suggest you learn that.  If not for your sake, for ours.  Don't need people riding around giving us a bad name.

I have thought about my recent incident affecting my riding "mood" Pandy.  I hope it's not it, but I have to be realistic.

I have no faith in the goodness of people anymore.  I used to trust people would at least do the MINIMUM right, but after TWO hit & runs, and countless asshats coming into where I work, I just can't take it anymore.  I used to be able to handle these people with a calm attitude...  I even used to pride myself in the fact that I could turn someone's bad day into a good one, only after a couple minutes talking to them.

For example, last year, I helped this customer get some faxing done at my place of work.  She came in all angry and frustrated with everything.  After only 10 minutes helping her, she left the store HAPPY and SMILING. :)  She was NOT the same person who came into the store.  I prided myself with abilities like that.

I'm afraid I can no longer do that.

After the recent mishaps and close calls, I'm almost ready to sell the bike and hang up the helmet for good.

Sweetheart, it's sounding as though you have classic symptoms of burn-out AND needing a vacation (plus, you're learning some of life's ugly lessons early). If it's any comfort, you're perfectly normal (cough)....now...the thing you need to do is figure out some ways to blow off the steam (safely and sanely), and turn things around in your head.

I say all this with great affection (been there done that).  :kiss3: Is there something nice coming up that you can plan for and think about? If there isn't, figure one out.  O0

I just came back from a week of from work last week, and I also took a week off four weeks ago.  So I'm not so sure BURN-OUT is the problem.

I used to take a ride in my car (before I got a bike) and that ALWAYS helped.  Then I got the bike...  That helped.

The only thing that REALLY helped blow off some steam is target practice, but I decided that that's not a good stress reliever...  I mean...  holding a gun while thinking about all the bad crap that happened can't be good.

I don't really know what I'm capable of, but I'd rather not find out about the bad stuff.  I don't want to put myself in a position where I COULD decide to take the gun and slip it in my pocket.

I know I have to find something, but I haven't figured out what yet.
