i ment fast with fairing. but, i can see were some may say one way is faster and slower in the other form.

its my personal opinion that the bike is better with the fairing, not for looks but smoothness in movement,while at speed. i am a big fella so i have a hard time staying on the bike at 95 plus with out the fairing. so that could also be the problem

I can see why so many people don't like the fairings, but it's really not that hard to just take them off.. (you can even sell them on the 'bay for some extra loot).

Even if I didn't like the fairings, I'd rather the bike have them so I can take them off and sell them.

I just thought it'd be interesting to point out that the D/SB D/SS Clubman racing at Jennings, the class the GS would run in, falls in the 1:28-32 range.  The D/SS class winner last July (WERA) ran a best race lap of 1:29.1.  The A/SB (1,000cc bikes) winner was a 1:22.8 (fastest race lap was a 1:17.6 in C/SS, 600cc bikes by Brian Stokesr).

There's BARELY a 10-second lead between the fastest D/SS rider, and the fastest rider period.

Umm...

That's confusing.

How can it make that time and yet not be fast enough to do it?

I would like them to redo the front end. I like it to be more like the GSX-R, I like the 03 to 04 gsx-r front end (light and the hole in the front) and maybe the slit seat not the one big seat. I also like more HP but that would make it compeat with the SV so it won't proplem happen

I think mak was more so trying to say, a bike with triple the horsepower has a lap time ten seconds faster than GS level bikes. Theres no way adding a fairing will drop 5-10 second off your lap times.
