"So", you ask?  Because people want a high-mount.  Pretty self explanatory.

Just to release some details:

I want to make it to where the cans hug the tail...but my hopes are low.  I feel that defeating the pillion peg will be troublesome.  I will offer a model that hugs very close to the fairings, whether it's easy to plumb or not.  If the pillion peg is in the way, you'll have to cut it off.  Mostly likely what I'll be displaying is along the lines of the RC51 or TL1000R exhausts.





The cans I use are approximately 5 round X 14 long...not a whole lot smaller than the stock can, but it is noticeable.  I'm going to try and get them as high and as close to the body as possible, which will actually make them appear a bit smaller I think.

Your turn signals will have to be modified to mount this.  The tips, if I can plan it appropriately, will extent about even with the tail light.  Something along the lines of this crazy p/s job:



The tubing will be made of mild or aluminized or something similarly generic and cheap, and it will be coated in enamel (it's hold...trust me).

The mufflers are stainless steel in and out.  They come in either raw stainless, or you can get either blue or black carbon fiber shells.  Same cost either way.  They sound pretty badass...I run a set on my TL.  They also offer red and yellow but both look crappy...I have the red and they look old, worn and faded.

The best thing is GSTwins will get to decide how much they cost (reasonably).  How cool is that?

Mak, think you can make me an undertail? Heat-tape wrapped, perhaps? Similar to D-Day's?



If my bike get's totaled it turns into a race bike, and an undertail would prevent damage to the exhaust system in a crash, I assume.

I can do that...but I wouldn't heat-wrap it if I were you.  That's really nasty stuff.  Might as well dip the whole system in acid once a day.

but yeah an undertail wouldn't be hard at all.

How much do you estimate it would cost? Same as a high-mount system?

yeah whatever everyone decides the high mount is worth, it'll run the same.  Routing under the tail only serves a problem in replacing all your goodies.

Maybe after it was Ceramic Coated.another option would be Heat tile like sold to Keep the Exhaust from Burning thru Dirt Bike/ATV Plastic.
