dude alf, why the 06 shoei? why not the new 07?

i mean really. cycle gear also has a sale going on on the 28 of this month 20% off so i would take it back and get another then for the cheaper price  more green for you my friend

I got this one for $411 after taxes, which is about how much the one from Cycle Gear would cost me.

Also, I haven't even SEEN any '07s out, not even on the Shoei website.

EDIT: It also says on the Cycle Gear website that it is 10% off, not 20%.

I'll try and get some closeups later, but there is a surprising amount of detail all over the thing.

That's dope, good pick. I bought an Icon Mainframe Skull earlier this year. The graphics were sweet. The helmet sucked ass. So I sold it.

and who is?  :cookoo:

It's a story by Daniel Defoe about a bloke who gets shipwrecked on an island alone. He eventually finds a native of the island who he names Friday. I think he gets rescued & makes it home to find his wife (Helen Hunt) has gotten remarried & now works as a topless dancer at a club called the titty twister, or some crap like that.

Therefore the saying "Well your not Robinson Crusoe" means your not alone or the only one. It was just a saying that my mamma used when I was a wee lad only knee high to a grasshopper.

I LOVE that book...it's kinda wordy, but it's an amazing story.  Defoe was a real nutcase, though...

bubba zanetti

I've never read the book through I might wait till it comes out on video.

waiting for it to come out on video or waiting disney to re-synidcate it?  Because if you're waiting on the former we've got a lovely suprise for you.

No movie does the book justice.  Like I said...defoe was a total loon...you can't put that in a movie.

bubba zanetti

It was a lame joke as the movie castaway was a lame ripoff of Robinson Crusoe ( IMHO).

I'll get a copy of the book & read it. Movie adaptations of books are usually half assed pieces of crap.

Ahhhh yes. in the movie when they're sending messengers from the fort & they're picking off the attackers from the top. they use silk as a patch to gain an extra 50 yards, in what would have been a smooth bore musket. Apart from little things like that it was an enjoyable flick.

actually the whole silk things is mildly accurate...you have to take into consideration that the alternative would be wool (heavy) or paper (coarse and heavy).

But the movie was far more enjoyable than the book...I believe reading the book was almost as horrible an experience in literature one can make.  I mean, do we REALLY need to read 8 pages about Magua's left mocosin?
