Hey all

Friends of mine have just returned from six months of touring the middle east and Eastern Europe on their BMW 1200 motorbikes. They visited some countries that most people are just plain too scared to go, ended up only metres away from a bombing in Egypt, outran border guards, all kinds of crazy stuff. Rode through deserts and some roads that are barely roads at all.

Their site is pretty interesting for anyone who has dreamed of doing that kind of serious world travel on bikes.

awesome.  This past summer I went from texas to prudhoe bay alaska.  Amazing trip. I love riding on big trips like that, especially ones without roads.  James Dalton Highway in alaska was awesome.
