Looking at a 93 Rear Wheel as an extra for race tires.  Will it fit an 89?  Just want to make sure before I spend the $$

Thanks in advance...

Yep. But don't take my word for it. I'm untrustworthy.

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

Yeah, it'll work. In fact, any wheel from the GS ('89+) will fit, as well as Katana 600 wheels until '98. '98+ Kat wheels got bumped up to 4.5".

See http://cgi.stanford.edu/~sanjayd/gs500/Upgrades/RearWheel for information on changing your rear wheel.

Only metaphorically speaking, of course. The buses here are too slow for me to actually throw you under one. Heaven forbid they move fast and actually get somewhere on time! (I'm not bitter)

Thanks for the quick response guys...Hey...what is a reasonable price on these.  I have not started looking til recently.  Don't want to pay too much.  Trying to take into account shipping and cost...so whatever info will help...

Umm.. I've seen rims go for as cheap as $50, shipped... check ebay, post in the WTB forum, I'm sure there's someone here who has a spare. Also, you could consider upgrading the rear to a katana rim, which is 4.5" wide vs. the 3.5" stock, allowing you to run better rubber in the rear (pilot powers, etc)... just a thought.

Oh no ... no way ... unless you have the special 93 wheel to 89 swingarm adapter kit, and after that you'll need to get the 89 engine to 93 final drive conversion kit. When you're done with those 2, you'd ahve to fit a 89 to 93 suspension linkage adapter kit and a 89 brake to 93 wheel sdapter kit (which you dont need unless you want brakes ... you know, not needed to run, just to stop - Get front and rear for that if I were you) - yea ...  O0 ...
