Does anyone know where to attach and what size the port is for connecting an oil pressure gage.  On a side note where is the sensor for the oil light and how does the wiring run to it.  I am still waiting on my book.  Oh the year of the bike is 1992 with 7000 miles.

I think the problem is in the sensor or the wiring.  I was riding to work on a deserted road and the light came on.  Well in the middle of the night and now cell reception I decided to keep going and just let the stupid thing blow up.  It made it the rest of the way and in the morning the light stayed off.  Ok now I am stumped.  I figured it would have blown up or at least the light would have stayed on.  The oil level was full.  The light seems to come on when it is raining or really damp out so I thought it could be a short in the wiring.  Today it was dry out and the light started to flicker after I made a sharp turn.  ????????  I think the thing is possesed, it is halloween.  GRRRRr Stupid bike.   I am wondering if it is a sign that the pump going out.  I would welcome any help or info if anyone else has seen this.

Hi there,

I don't have my manual with me right now, but I'll post later today w/ the details you're asking about.  As I recall the pressure port is on the left case about halfway up.  I do not remember where the oil pressure switch is.

Are you sure about your oil level?  This is the most common cause of a flickering light.   ;)
Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

Yeah make sure you check the oil on the centerstand or upright.

Do not check it on the sidestand

I checked the oil twice while the bike was on the center stand. I didn not screw the dip stick in when I checked it.   When I left to go home the light was flickering but after about 5 min of riding the light went out.

On the R/H side directly under the ignition pick-up cover you will see a single bolt larger than the surrounding ones. Undoing it will give you access to a main gallery. Havent a clue what size thread it is though.
