I have a michelin pilot on the back of my bike. The sides are fine, but theres a flat-ish strip int he middle (from all my highway riding I guess). I'm thinking it'll need to be replaced sometime soon. What are good places to get replacement tires and have them put it on?

well, there is a place down the street that will do it CHEAP!!!! but you don't live down the street

cheap is a relative term
mail order a tire...then try to get it installed
support your local shop once in a while

I dont think there are any local motorcycle shops around besides the suzuki and yamaha dealers.

and they can order you a pilot and install it
just research what retail price is soppose to be
or see if they will install mail order tires...

you take the wheel off the bike and it will save you 50% on install price usually

if you hate Suzuki
go to the yammi shop...they love stealing customers from other brands

Buy your tire from an online store (motorcycle-superstore.com has always had the best prices for me). Then take your wheel off and lever the tire on yourself.

That will involve alot more than I have the resources or time to do sadly. I dont have the ability or tools to deal with the chain, etc.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of good places in general. I'll see if the local shops will install a tire I provide. I don't mind paying a little to have someone install it.

Tools to deal with the chain? All you do is pull it off the sprocket and rest it on the swingarm. The wheel slides right out.
