This seller is located in the same city as me.  I stopped by his house this morning and looked at the bike.  Like he described, the only damage is on the left cover.  His asking price is $5500.

I really don't need the two helmets, but he said that he would be willing to keep the helmets if I already had one.  He prefers to sell the bike with the stock pipe and tand bra.

KBB.com value is $6000.  I'm gonna offer $5200.

Pandy is right.  Way to make a guy feel wanted here...  Call dibs on parts before said guy even gets another bike...  that way said guy will not have said GS bike...  and said GS forum will not longer apply to said guy.

I fixed everything that was a MUST fix.  A total of $22.  The rim still has the SMALL paint chip, and the exhaust still has the minor scuff marks on the tip (not the stainless part).

I haven't been contacted by the court yet (although his arraignment date is Nov 16th), so I think I'm gonna send the bastard a certified letter nicely explaining that I need the repair bill paid or I might just have to hire a lawyer and get even MORE money due to the increased cost of court and lawyer fees.

Dude, its so...bland.  Fully faired sport bikes are as exciting to look at as vanilla pudding for me these days.  My town is FILLED with GSXRRRCBXXX9000000RF's that look like Transformers.

But...R6's are mean, nasty bikes!  Have a good time and ride safe!  I've heard many R6's with Micron pipes and they sound pure SEXX.
