It's from shifting the bike into neutral when I'm just rolling the bike around at home, to check tire pressures and chain lubings.

These are the same boots that I crashed in (the November, 70mph, scratch went down thread, 2 years ago).  I do have a pair of Sidi boots.  These are for work.
