The downside to setting one's self on fire:

Since that wonderful day I've come to learn a very valuable lesson about being on fire; After it's happened, everything else in life just isn't anywhere near as exciting.

Take casual conversation:

While stopped at a fuel station to get a soda and a bit to snack on while coming to Lubbock I had to roll the winders down for the doggies, then get out and lock it.  A random lady who happened to witness this thought she'd ask why I bothered locking the doors when the back windows were down.  The appropriate answer would have been:

"Well, Makenzie, the big black dog back there, knows how to open the car door.  Buddy, the grey one, knows how to unlock the doors.  They team up and get out.  If I lock the doors from the outside, with the master key, BMW has made it to where the car can not be unlocked from the inside."

Was that what I told her?  No.  Opposed to that, in my quest for a little more excitement, I pointed behind her, screamed "oh my god", and ran towards the men's room pulling my hair.

Next, lets examine truck stop men's rooms:

Let me start by telling you that if you have never ran into a men's room, occupied by four men at the sinks either shaving or brushing their teeth, while screaming and pulling your hair, you should.  The expression I recieved from four rather rabbid, in appearance, men, one of which now bleeding, was absolutely priceless.  In fact I will now make it a point to enter all men's rooms in such a fashion "just in case".

Lastly, though I couldn't act on this as I lacked at least four other reasonably eccentric people, while washing my hands, beside the guy now trying to control his bleeding, I noticed a man walk into one of the stalls, stay a moment, exit and enter another stall, and repeat, through 4 different stalls.  By the time he finally sat down to do his thinking, I had just about gotten over there to him to start singing a musical chairs tune in case he'd come back out.  It would have been great to have 4 more people so when he walked to change stalls again I could have "stopped the music" and kicked him out of the men's room for being a wuss.

Oh and I think that lady in parking lot called the cops... :dunno_white:

Hang out there, we may flame, but we don't hate.

My attitude is in serious need of readjustment, and I'm ok with that.

You could always take up lighter tricks if screaming gets too dull...
