Ive recently bought a gs and am loving it  :icon_lol:  But ive got big feet and long legs (not sure if the long legs have anything to do with it) Has anyone got any ideas on how i could increase the distance between the gear shifter and foot peg?

Any help appreciated.

Moving the pegs is difficult and expensive, as are rearsets, but if you can cope with the costs its a possibility. I guess you need to find what is a comfortable position for your feet first and work around that. I would suggest removing the selecter lever from the bike, taking it to a welding shop and asking them to chop a section out....say 25mm  and reweld the 2 halves together. This will increase the distance between the end of the lever and the foot peg. Take the rubber sleeve off first, otherwise the heat from the welding process will melt it. Alternatively take a trip to the the local breakers and see if you can find another but shorter lever that will fit the shaft.

I haven't had any problems with having big feet except for getting the balls of my feet on the pegs.

It really easy to make, the one is 1" back and 1" up, but for the street I would go 1/2" Up and 1/2" Back and they are really easy to make

I just wear roller skates as I am pretty tall (6,8) and I just drag my feet.  I can still shift well as the roller skates have the rubber knob on the front that grips the shifter great.

If it is just a matter of getting your toe under the lever, just take it off and move it a couple of splines till you have enough clearance. (Works for brake lever also.)

^ditto.  Just raise the lever a bit.

Otherwise look for a set of CBR F2/F3 rearsets...legend has it that they mount up with minimal foreplay.
