The new Roadriders were announced over a year ago but were not availaible to the NA market till now.  Another good choice in all around bias ply tires that come in our sizes; should be compared to Demons, Lasertecs, Actives, BT45, and GT501 class tires.  Now listed at MAW and Tires Unlimited:

Additional good news for Avon tire fans, although the new Avon Storms that replace the AV45/46 tires don't come in the 140/80 rear that is the preferred fit on our 3.5" rims, it appears that they are not being discontinued in the AV46 tire.  A few of the AV45/46 tires will be continued, a practice Metz has followed for years.  Keep the old tire in sizes not to be made in the new superceeding line.

THe 140/80 AV46 remains one of my top favorite GS500 tires.   :thumb:

407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

I love it when ppl say "our bikes", as in "X mod is perfectly suited to our bikes" as if we all have the same bike (which we do). It is a global cult of united purpose and uniform vehicle choice. but who is leading us... and where are we going...
