1. My GS did not have the stock tool kit when I bought it. Can someone tell me if there is an aftermarket tool kit I can buy which is COMPLETE
(i.e. Cruz tools --> http://store.yahoo.com/azmotorsports/ds-19620x.html).
If so, let me know name, price, link, etc.

2. Which shield would you buy in your opinion?

I've been looking at the F-16 in clear, then painting it to match the bike.  Haven't seen one in person though, just like the looks of it in the ad.  The F-15 picture angle seems to make it hard to get a good idea of how it looks on the bike, but it does appear to offer a little more wind protection than the '16.

Other than the spanner wrench that adjusts the reoload on the shock, you could just go to Wal-Mart or Sears and just buy a couple of wrenches and screwdrivers.  The ones that come with the bike are cheap and not designed for continuous use.  Emergency work on the side of the road, maybe.

I have the F-15 installed.  It works great for me on a 02' GS.  Easy to install, looks cool on the bike as well beside good wind protection.  I forgot the place that sells this for $85. You may want to do a search on the F-15 if it's the one that you want.

The Throttlemeister is what my Homemade "Throttle Retainer" dreams of being when it grows up.  The only reason I don't have one is the price.

Be sure to read the Warnings on both the Throttlemeister page and mine.

By the way, I like the F-16 medium tint the best.

Dad has the Throttlemiester on his concours says he likes it.

I have the F-16 and great for keeping the wind off.

jcwhitney.com is the cheapest place for the F-15 or F-16

JC Whitney sells those windscreens cheaper than directly from National Cycle.

Greg got the F-15 Tourshield for his birthday.  Looks good on his GS500.  He reported that the front end feels a bit different now.  Couldn't say if it was good or bad, just different.  I guess the windblast puts pressure on the front end?  He does a lot of commuting on the freeway, so I got him the Tourshield instead of the Sportshield because it is bigger.  The tinted Sportshield looks cooler in the photos, though.  Have not seen one in person.

The last time I compared, JC Whitney's prices were lower than National Cycle, but their shipping made up for it.  This was about 6 months ago.

It ended up being the same price +/- $2.

what do you have to do to install the F-16 on an 03'???

Can a bookworm like me do it with ease?

I have the F-16 med tint screen.  As far as function, it's not very big so you have to sort of lean forward and crouch down at higher speeds (freeway) to stay out of the wind.  (And I am already short - 5'4")

I think it looks very cool though.

Keyser, it was pretty easy to put on my '96.  Don't know if it would be different for the '03.

I got mine through JC Whitney...
