I'm trying to get my hands on some of the clip in wiring harness holders.  The things that act like zip ties but clip into the holes on the GS's frame to secure the wiring harness.  The whole tie wrap around the frame look really isn't so nice on my naked gs.

I scoured auto parts stores and my local MC shop (the closest suzi dealer is an hour and I HATE going there).
I've tried using the stick on pads to secure a standard tie wrap to the frame but the second the engine heats up those adhesives fail.

So in short - anyone know where to get something like the OEM wire clips? Or does anyone have some suggestions for securing the harness?

they have online microfiches so enjoy. BTW though you hate going to the dealership remember one thing my dealership never charges me shipping on anything I order and they are almost as inexpensive as ronayers.
Why didn't you just go the whole way and buy me a f@#king Kawasaki you bastards.

Go to a hardware store (or an electronics place) and check out their zip tie selection.  You should be able to find some zip ties that have mounting tabs with holes in them.  Simply drill a small hole for a #8 sheet metal screw and install the tie.

They look like this:

Personally, I prefer cushioned Adel clamps and clear nylon spiral wrap or fiberglass fire sleeve.  Then again, I also prefer AN fittings and hose, NAS hardware, Amphenol connectors, and teflon coated stranded nickel plated wire.

Refer to MS21919-WDGxx  "WDG" refers to "wedge" as opposed to plain cushioned. "xx" refers to the closed size in 1/16ths of an inch. The wedge will prevent your wires from being pinched.  I think they suit a naked bike.   :icon_mrgreen:

You can buy them here:

Spiral wrap looks like this:

Every zero you add to the tolerance adds a zero to the price.

If the product "fails" will the product liability insurance pay for the "failure" until it turns 18?

At the very bottom of the page in the link is an item identified as a PUM1. Its a push fit cable tie base that fits into a 6mm (0.25") hole. Alternatively there is an item on the page known as a Harness-clip that fits a pre-drilled hole. Or there is the Anchor-tie that again fits a pre-drilled hole. These products are available from the UK supplier featured but similar items must be available from suppliers in the USA, try a websearch for vehicle wiring products/accessories/materials.
Parts like this are usualy sold in minimum quantities or subject to a minimum order charge plus delivery costs so it may work out cheaper to obtain the OEM part from Suzuki.

I have a problem with these types of fasteners...  The holes you drill will be prone to rusting.

Yeah, I wanted to avoid drilling my frame mostly becuase I'm lazy but also because I didn't want to have to paint anything to keep it from rusting.

I worked as a field service technician for industrial circuit breaker and control power applications so back in Ohio our garage has a better selection of fasters/wraps and ties than the Granger catalog warehouse, I just really wanted to find something that would clip into those pre drilled holes.  Maybe I'll wait till this winter when I've moved back to ohio and find a dealer there.

I had checked out ronayers and I couldn't find that part on the fiche if I remeber right, I foudn the wiring harness but no oem "Push fit cable ties" .  I'll take a look on some regular old vehicle wiring sites unless anyone wants to prove me wrong and find it on one of the fiches.
