I think the reason was because of that syrup...  I mean...  consuming a WHOLE bottle can't be helpful in staying thin.

I haven't seen the vid yet, but if you chugged a bottle of syrup & kept it down would it bind you up or make you loose in the sluice?

Well, what Nick was chugging isn't really even maple syrup per se.  It's high fructose corn syrup with artificial flavoring and coloring.  It's the same stuff (with different artificial flavoring added) that forms the base for most soft drinks you consume.  So calorically he drank the equivalent of a case of soda.

If it had been actual maple syrup, I doubt either one of them would have gotten sick.  It's mostly still water and sugar.

Alright, I like to think that I have a pretty healthy sense of humor...but I found this part (and most of "Super Troopers") not funny at all.  Seriously, you could have heard a pin drop.

I'll have to watch the video later, but my buddy and I chugged syrup in honor of Super Troopers once. Let me tell you, that was nasty. Neither of us puked, but we probably should have. Instead we just sat around for a couple hours in a combination of pain, self-disgust, and a perverse sense of accomplishment. If any of you have watched the outtakes for Super Troopers, they show the guys first trying the scene with ice tea but then switching to syrup because it didn't look real. They both chugged a couple of bottles of syrup, and I can't even imagine going for a second bottle after the first.

   Nice you really need to get your bike back together so you can be riding istead of chugging syrup.
