Gas leaking out of carb?

My bike has been sitting for a few months now because of no time to ride due to class and work.

I filled up with fresh gas, I put stabil in the gas tank, and now when I try to start it I get gas leaking out of air filter side of the carb. It is coming out of the holes on the bottom and is also coming out of the hose that runs from the top of the carb.

What could my problem be? Someone told me it might be a stuck float or a clogged jet, could one of these be correct?

dgyver

Yep. Stuck float keeping the needles open or the float needles not seating. Sometimes tapping on the carb bowl will free the hung float. But best to open the bowls and clean it all.
Common sense in not very common.

scratch

Yes, expecially since the bike has been sitting for a few months.  Stabil should be added before a state of non-operation.  Fuel injector cleaner for after storage time.
