Anybody watching the show "Heros"?

Anybody want to know anything about some of the characters?

The younger brother that "could" fly - he's an ability emulator, thus he is able to emulate the ability of whoever he's near.

I just learned this one: "Horned-Rimmed Glasses" guy (or HRG).  That's it; just what he's called.

And, how about his co-worker, the "Nullifier", or "Eraser".  Why wasn't he able to keep 'flyboy' politician from taking off?

And, why the solar eclipse at the beginning?  The closer to the apex of the solar eclipse, the stronger their abilities become.
Now, how often do solar eclipses happen?  A few times during a lifetime?  So these abilities become apparent somewhat suddenly.

What's interesting to me is the presentation of these 'heros', in that they are everyday people and can have, typically "human" iniquities, such as the politician being crooked.

These are my own obversations.

And, now, what about the "tatoos" or cuts?  Are they really from experimentation by HRG?  Or, markings from their abilities (caused by the coming eclipse)?

He has a name, I think Dan Bennett(?), he introduces himself to Isaac the painter, when he is explaining to him why he needs him to paint.

Yeah...  I friggen Love Heroes...

The Glasses guy's little helper can "Convince" people to do things.  ;)

I suspect that the Radiation guy may be the "Bomb" that they're all trying to stop...

And the "Eraser" guy doesn't nulify all powers...  He just has power over the mind... So, that's why he could block out the telepath...

[edit]Sylar?[/edit]  He's eating people's brains to get their powers...   :icon_mrgreen:

The Heroes fan site has a lot of cool info...

Ah!  So he could knock out the policeman.

BAM!  Sylar (I looked it up).

Yeah... That guy.  He's eating (or otherwise absorbing) their brains to take their powers!   :o  Now imagine if he got Hiro's power!   :o

You know...  When the Glasses guy's little chick helper first showed up, the first thing I thought was PLANT!  I was actually disappointed that I was right.

I'm still wondering where they're gonna take the Hiro plot...  Like... Maybe he jumped years back, found the chick, fell in love, learned perfect English, etc, etc.     The thing he didn't think about was the paradox...  If he told her not to come to work, they'd never meet, and he would have never jumped back to tell her not to go to work. :cookoo:

He should have jumped back 5 minutes, stopped time, and busted Sylar's nugget.

Oh yeah...  And...  Niki (the mom with the crazy personality) is TOTALLY a villain. :icon_mrgreen:  And her kid is the super-smart giant-brain archetype.

:icon_mrgreen:

Doesn't Niki just have a personality disorder?  It's got me scratching my head, thinking, "this is an ability?"

She's super strong, quick, and agile...  She can rip people in half and toss them around the room...

It just manifests in her other personality...  Kinda like how Isaac can only use his powers when he's high.

She's still a villain!   :icon_mrgreen:

I did like it when she kneed the security guy in the elevator and then placed her heel against the guy's temple and said, "...or I'll put this heel through your head."  That's hot.

I believe she is neither a hero, nor a villan.  This shows the human side of what may be a hero, what these people/heros go through in day-to-day life.  While I don't debate that her 'bad' side does have homicidal tendencies, without regard to life, and while that would definitley mark her as a villan, she's not protrayed as an antagonist.

Good show! What do you guys think about the whole save the cheerleader, save the world thing?

I'd save her!

Save her from her "dad"?

I hope it doesn't go way out the way lost did...at first lost was ok, then it just got so far out there. Almost like they were trying to tap into the x files kinda vibe.
It is a good show.
If it comes out of your body you shouldn't be afraid to hold it in your hand! :o

I'd save her...  Save her until she's 18.

My wife said about her dad, "Oh...  I guess he's not  a bad guy."  And I replied, "No...  He's the worst kind of bad guy...  The one where you're never sure."

pandy

I'm still traumatized cuz Surface was cancelled. I refuse to watch another new show!  (Besides, there are enough forensic and law and order shows on to keep me happy for days!)

I wonder where the show will go.

The show may have a twist where he really is the good guy.  Just have to watch and see.

Yeah...  There are so many potential plots...  Especially with a guy that can time travel.

My guess, save the cheerleader, he is a good guy. Cheerleader dies and he facilitates the "bomb" to blow up New York, since he knows Sylar is there to exact revenge.

Just so you know, I hate you guys.

Now I have another show to watch, and just as I'm getting into it, the season's ending on Monday.
Sorry, I won't answer motorcycle questions anymore.  I'm not f%$king friendly enough for this board.  Ask me at:

My wife said that Sylar will find the radiation/'burning' guy and become the bomb himself, and since he's been captured...it might be more likely...since we don't know where they "took" the radiation guy.

Jake D

I never watch these shows while they happen.  I wait until the season is over and get the DVDs from Netflix and watch them all at once.  For example: I watched 4 hours of 24 last night, went to the gym, and went to bed.  Perfect.
